So, you are an optimist because you think things can always get worse and I am a pessimist because I think they can always get better?

6 things: Joy overload today.

1. Musicians coming together to support eachother :

2.Filming with great people

3. Chocolate Chip Pancakes

4. Malts

5.The Greek Myths existing because the Gods thought people were being douschebags

6. Bookstores

Today was spent enjoying various creative outlets with other artists, and musicians. It was one of those days that you wouldn't trade for an office job that paid more, simply because it just isn't even close to how fulfilling these wonderful oppurtunities are. I was lucky enough to be able to be on a set of a film where not only was the director smart, but he was fun and great to work with. The other actors hilarious and I found that even though this was a "job" it wasn't work - it was collaboration. Glad I got to be a part of it :)

Then I headed over to Banjo Joe's down on Avenue C where my sister was holding a fundraiser for Public Acts of Decency and her caberat that will be put on tomorrow for NYMF. All these musicians came to the open mic, got up there, and did their thing. Each one of them expressed themself in a completely individual and original way. It was a treat to watch them as one by one they not only got up there and poured out some very personal creations, but also supported eachother in doing so. A few of them definitely impressed me, I hope to be hearing more from them in the future :)

Chris and I headed out to eat before it ended because I was ............ absolutely starving. Having not eaten all day ... it was reaching 5pm and I was going to keel over. So we ate at this Cozy Soup n burger place over by astor place where I indulged in Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and a Coffee Malt. per-fect. It was comfort food heaven, which I allowed myself because not only was I very very hungry, but it was also very very cold and windy.

We ended the day at a bookstore in columbus circle, read through the new post-secret book, and relaxed a bit. Being in a bookstore can be overwhelming because I always feel the need to read and listen to everything - but it can also be very calming if I end up finding something to become engrossed in. The latter happened, and it was a nice way to end the night.
